I am a female music artist and I have JUST released my debut single!
I've just released my debut single mega bop Animal on all platforms and my debut EP is releasing on October 12. I'm ALSO having a fun, colourful and fabulous launch party on Tuesday 26 September. Tickets can be found on the link in my Instagram! I'm very proud to say my single was an all-female project.
In my music, I push boundaries with the topics I discuss. I write songs that give a voice to my friends - that speak to people. I express some of my most intimate thoughts so listeners are assured that they are not alone. I LOVE showing the full spectrum of human emotion, with some sassy, light-hearted songs about to patriarchy, to the aching loneliness of grief.
I'd love to work with Elton John and Lady Gaga. Both idols of mine. I'd also love to work with Sam Smith and see how many boundaries we can push - both musically and sartorially.
I have had an incredible journey thus far by seeking out women and gender minority spaces and colleagues. My producer for my EP was a woman, and we had a strong sense of empathy when discussing each subject we wanted to tackle. I have also joined female musician communities and have thus far met wonderful people. My advice: do the same.
Your Brain on Art by Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross. While it's about art in the traditional sense of the word, it really verifies why we should all keep being creative, serving the world with our abilities - and, most importantly, not succumbing to corporate jobs we're not suited to. The world needs you.
I'm really digging Doja Cat's new music and her new sense of self; shaving her head, leaning into the music that SHE loves to create. You go baby.
I would like us NOT to have to navigate sexual advances in any manner while in our workspace. Or have to negotiate managing others' egos while trying to be creative. What a waste of energy and time.
By coming to my upcoming album launch on Tuesday 26 September at Piano Smithfield from 7.30pm! Tickets in my Insta bio.
