I’m a babe who recently started mixing. I’m 32 and a surfer gal who needed a creative outlet whilst recovering from a serious surf injury, and found dj’ing.
I work full time for Google as a Technical Recruiter whilst living full time in Cornwall. I also run a successful small business importing Balinese homeware to the UK/Cornwall.
I really needed something to challenge to me and help lose myself in without relying on physical activity, which was difficult for me as surf and exercise have been my key outlet for mental health for years.
I’m playing my first gig at Frendzy in Penzance this Saturday!
I spent 4 years living in Berlin and I’m really inspired by fast and heavy baselines. I mostly love these baselines (hard techno) when it’s being played super aggressively by women or other minority groups.
I’m also inspired by other fellow female dj’s, like my friend Natz, who literally taught me the basics and told all her friends to book me to help diversify lineups.

Just do it! You’re never too old or different, we will forge our spaces at the table.
10 minutes 38 seconds in this strange world by Elif Shafak.
As a Turkish Cypriot woman (first generation born in the UK) this one particular moved me. It’s truly the most beautifully written book i’ve ever read, and Elif Shafak is an inspiration to other turkish women.

I would like to see spaces be safer for everyone. I think Germany does this really well by having door staff that hand pick the crowd, but the rest of europe can sometimes be too white, and too male to foster feelings of safety for all.
Please listen to and share my music! (and book me!!)
